    Description:
    Responsible for the planning, implementation, direction, and maintenance of the District’s applications and use of technology within the instructional curriculum. Evaluate and provide recommendations regarding software applications/technology to compliment classroom instruction.
    Job Summary:
    • Provide general support and assistance to teachers, students and administrators using technology in the classroom. This technology includes hardware, software, and both district and external educational online resources.
    • Provide and participate in ongoing professional development including research, networking and communication, development, training, best practice implementation, coaching, and management of program projects.
    • Serve as a primary liaison to building and district level administration, between tech services and staff, and through building based and district level committees.
    • Create productivity tools including e-learning, collaboration tools, and database systems that access, manage, integrate and evaluate information.
    • Assist subject area committees in setting goals related to the use of technology in instruction and selecting compatible software when new texts or materials are purchased.
    • Provide support to parents and students on the use of school related technologies. In particular, troubleshoot problems for parents and students related to instructional technology, school communication and student learning.
    • Develop and manage program related budgets for the purpose of ensuring that software, hardware and personnel are available to meet program, school site and District needs and objectives.
    • Identify, develop and report program related assessments for the purpose of directing student and teacher growth toward technology integration, technology literacy and technology use and to meet program goals and District guidelines.
    • Coordinate and plan staff use of technology for events including open houses, orientations, parent groups, department events, or conferences and provide support as needed.
    • Facilitate clear communication by supporting the building intranet (splash page) and external website.
    • Coordinate and prepare technology for Institute Day programs, including participation in planning meetings, and facilitate support as needed throughout the day for curriculum technology.
    • Collaborate with Professional Development and Tech Services to prepare for and provide support during New Teacher Induction, including logistical preparation and daily technology support.
    • Develop training materials/tutorials for commonly used and as needed programs and provide instruction on these during New Teacher Induction or throughout the year.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.
    Qualifications: The qualified candidate will have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with experience in a technology related field.
    Rate of pay: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
    Working Conditions: High school.
