Description
The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. The candidate will be self-directed as well as working with others. This candidate will be part of a facilities team responsible for maintaining and improving the facility, its equipment, and furnishings, as well as supporting the rest of the organization.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for performing or coordinating outside services to perform routine maintenance and repairs around the building such as:

• Coordinate and or repair damage to windows, doors, or walls etc.
• Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of fixtures.
• Perform supervised preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to maintain climate control of office, labs and production areas.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential safety hazards.
• Painting of wall surfaces as needed.
• Assist Facility team in managing building expansion and improvements.
• Perform equipment and furniture assembly as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or relevant qualification.

• 3-4 years similar experience.

• Basic plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
• Basic electrical knowledge to handle problems relating building’s electrical systems.
• Basic carpentry skills to handle miscellaneous repairs around the facility.
• Basic knowledge of the proper use of hand and power tools.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or vendors in a pleasant manner.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working within the building.
