The Lead/Trainer role requires a strong grounding in safety standards, particularly in an industrial distribution context. The successful candidate will have a strong safety mindset and set an example for a culture of safety excellence. This candidate will also collaborate regularly with our warehouse manager and safety team to ensure consistent implementation across our warehouse as we develop a best-in-class safety environment. The selected individual will follow an operation's safety program and lead others to do the same. The Warehouse Lead ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 pm until finish.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Train new selectors on the selection process from start to finish, pallet construction, labeling, wrapping, and staging.
• Audit pallets and work with current selectors on pallet construction, labeling, wrapping, and staging.
• Assist with loading, inspect trailers upon completion, and ensure proper load quality.
• Ensure pallets are wrapped and strapped correctly.
• Cover the supervisor's desk by assigning workflow.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries including accident investigation, accident reports, accident files, accident register, and follow up with the claim’s office and adjusters, as necessary.
• Prepare and submits accident-related compliance forms, maintain files, or otherwise submit data to the appropriate person or organization.
• Provide assistance and training to warehouse employees and other safety-related issues.
• Provide various reports and analyzes, including safety trends.
• Develop cost-saving recommendations.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Develop employees engaged in safety, training, and/or compliance processes.

Qualifications

You have:

• 3 years of Warehouse Distribution experience
• 2 years of Double Electric Pallet Jack experience
• 2 years of Sit-Down and Stand-Up Forklift experience
• 2 years of RF Scanner experience
• 2 years of Selecting experience in a fast-paced environment
• 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a safety role
• OSHA Certification for all material handling equipment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to trainees and management
• Obtain drive, confidence, and determination
• Ensure safety is the number one priority
• Ability to stay up to date with the ever-changing rules and regulations
