Assistant Controller

·Working leader will lead team team in Accounting and Finance

·Work closely with external auditors as needed

·Provide solutions to complex issues related to all aspects of accounting and finance

·Implement approved budgets and track expenses accordingly

·Actively participate in the company's financial forecasting initiatives, analyzing financial trends and identifying areas for improvement

·Develop financial models to assess profitability of current projects and proposed investments

·Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review

·Monitor compliance with financial and accounting policies, procedures, and regulations

·Review daily transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of records

·Establish procedures for record keeping, data entry, report generation, etc.

·Educate team members on financial and accounting best practices

·Maintain updated knowledge of current trends in the field of accounting and finances

·Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and streamline operations

·Provide technical assistance and support for financial systems including software 

·Identify and communicate risks and issues impacting the financial area of responsibility to the appropriate team members and business partners

·Suggest and implement solutions to improve efficiencies in work processes while also reducing risk

·Serve as a resource to support the monthly operations of the team to ensure that the team’s area of financial statement responsibility is in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications :

·5 Years of Big Four Accounting Experience

·Broad knowledge of accounting with strong leadership and decision-making skills.

·Proven professional with advanced understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems, with solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS. SAP and BPC experience a plus.

·Effectively communicates with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.

·Ability to interact with peers and team members to gain cooperation amongst the teams to meet objectives.

·Ability to develop and conduct presentations of technical information related to projects or accounting issues.

·Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to balance a large group of diverse projects simultaneously with excellent attention to detail.

·Proficiency in Excel and Word required, and working knowledge of PowerPoint a plus.

Education & Experience:

·Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred. Masters preferred.

·5 years relevant accounting experience in public accounting

·Experience with a Big Four accounting firm.
