ICM Controls is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate. The Associate will be responsible for a multitude of accounting activities and will report directly to the Assistant Controller. Areas of focus will include accounts receivable, data entry and daily general ledger accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Monitor automated invoices batches and reconciles to outgoing bill of lading records.
· Review AR aging and contact customers for collections.
· Process customer payments.
· Set up customer credit applications and provides basis for credit extension to customer.
· Establish credit lines & monitor for compliance.
· Setup and maintain Customer files.
· Manage foreign customer documentation including proforma and related wire documentation.
· Research, log and reconcile customer complaints due to shipping and billing errors.
· Process customer RMAs and identify and records the type of credit to proper systems and accounts.
· Ensures returned inventory is properly accounted for via scrap or back to inventory.
· Assist with accounts payable processing, when needed.
· Other duties assigned by Manager.
Reporting
· Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
· Assist with monthly account reconciliations.
· Assist with financial and tax audits.
· Assist in documentation, monitoring and implement improvement of internal controls.
· Perform credit analysis & reporting on customers.
· Keeps and maintains support documentation files.
· Daily shipping reporting, when needed.
Communications
· Correspond with customer service departments to ensure proper accounting for revenues.
· Provide sales team and customers with requested documentation and forms.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others department.
· Answer and/or transfer phone inquires as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High School; two year business school or college a preferred.
Experience: 2 year preferred in Accounting/auditing
