About Us

iAM HCM Consulting is chiefly a service company offering highly skilled consultants for the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) that most businesses use to manage their workforce. Our initial expertise has been Oracle’s JD Edwards, but this role will focus on growing an agnostic customer base selling services in any HRIS brand, as well as selling current services: JD Edwards HRIS consulting, Managed Services for ad-hoc client needs, Bootcamps, and a resource hub which is a subscription model.

About The Position

The purpose of this role is to drive revenue for a small international HRIS consulting firm to 5x 2023 annual revenue. The goal is to reach revenue within your first twelve months, and in addition, create a strategic plan for reaching stretch revenue goals. The candidate must have experience building a sales channel from the ground up. We like to use the term “scrappy” to describe how we operate when we are building something new. Candidate will be collaborating with Operations and the CEO to gather necessary information for building the sales strategy.

Responsibilities

Market Research and Strategy Development

· Identify Growth Opportunities: Conduct in-depth market research to identify new trends, technologies, and potential markets for HRIS consulting services.

· Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitors to understand their offerings, strengths, weaknesses, and market position, helping to differentiate the firm.

· Strategic Planning: Develop and refine the company’s growth strategy, including identifying potential clients, industries, or regions for expansion.

Sales and Marketing

· Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate potential leads through networking, industry events, and digital marketing campaigns.

· Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and how the firm’s HRIS solutions can address those needs.

· Brand Building: Work on brand positioning and visibility efforts to establish the firm as a leader in HRIS consulting.

Partnership Development

· Strategic Partnerships: Forge partnerships with HRIS vendors, complementary service providers, and industry associations to expand the firm’s reach and capabilities.

· Collaboration: Work closely with partners to develop joint offerings or marketing strategies that can open new channels or markets.

Product and Service Development

· Innovation: Collaborate with the consulting and technical teams to identify opportunities for new service offerings or enhancements to existing services.

· Market Fit: Ensure that new services or product enhancements are aligned with market needs and client expectations.

Project Management and Support

· Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with consulting, technical, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of business development activities with overall company objectives.

· Client Projects: Assist in high-profile client projects or pitches, bringing business development insights to tailor proposals to client needs.

Analytics and Reporting

· Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development activities, assessing their effectiveness in achieving growth targets.

· Market Feedback: Gather and analyze client and market feedback to adjust strategies and operations accordingly.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience. (Compensation will be dependent on years of experience.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business preferred.
  • Experience in a consulting environment, ideally with HRIS systems.
  • In depth experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Apollo as a Sales tool is a plus.

Skills

  • Ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Deep understanding of HRIS technologies, trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent networking skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.

The Business Development role in such a firm is multifaceted, focusing not just on direct sales but also on building a strong foundation for long-term growth through strategic partnerships, market positioning, and continuous innovation in service offerings. This role is pivotal in transforming the firm from a small player into a significant force in the HRIS consulting industry.
