To keep up with our rapid growth, we are looking for a Payroll/HR Administrator to join our growing team, all while being a leading example of our company culture.

 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for all U.S. employees with focus on the review and accuracy of timesheets and employee compensation;
  • Prepare reports for month end journal entry payroll, benefits and tax reconciliations;
  • Maintain employee records to ensure that changes are entered correctly, made on a timely basis, and reviewed for proper authorization;
  • Verify quarterly tax filing reports and process end of year W2s;
  • Administer employer benefits programs, including open enrollment and life events modifications for insurance benefits;
  • Develop knowledge of company policies & procedures to effectively communicate guidelines when responding to employee inquiries;
  • Draft and provide letters of employment;
  • Help coordinate OSHA files;
  • Assist HR Generalists with following up on employee documentation required for FMLA requests, accommodation requests or workplace injury;
  • Ensure the successful onboarding of new U.S. employees, both on site and remote;
  • Coordinate the communication and/or distribution of employee benefit program material to employees. Respond to employee benefit questions. Liaise with external vendors as required;
  • Coordinate company events for the Arizona location and assist in supporting employee engagement events for remote US employees;
  • Provide additional support as needed on various projects within Human Resources.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 3-5 years Payroll experience (Ultipro/UKG system experience is an asset);
  • College degree or specialized training certificate in a relevant field;
  • Understanding of taxation of income and employer paid benefits;
  • Knowledge of current state, federal, tax and workers compensation statutory requirements;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
  • American Payroll Association (APA) certification/membership is an asset;
  • SAP Business One knowledge is an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills;
  • Decision-making, problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Customer service focus.
