Who we are:

HPG is one of the oldest gyms in Austin with a friendly atmosphere. We're a local, neighborhood facility that caters to all levels of fitness. In addition to general strength and conditioning, we're also equipped to handle other strength sports such as bodybuilding, powerlifting, weightlifting and strongman. HPG sports a genuine old-school environment that has stayed true since 1982.

What we are looking for:

• Friendly folks who enjoy being around people
• Someone with an interest or background in fitness
• Someone with schedule flexibility and willingness to help others

Responsibilities:

• Providing facility tours and closing the sale with walk-in prospects
• Greeting members as they enter/exit the gym
• Checking in members
• Collecting renewal sales from existing members
• Enforcing gym guidelines and sanitation standards
• Connecting interested parties with personal trainers
• Selling foods, drinks and apparel
• Closing and opening duties including trash removal and general cleaning responsibilities
• Spotting members and explaining machines/movements
• Monitoring safety and enforcing facility rules

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service
• An interest or background in fitness would be an asset, but is not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
