The Hyatt Place Knoxville/Downtown is hiring Front Desk Agents to join our team!
Must be available to work one weekend day per week.
The Hyatt Place Knoxville-Downtown is a fascinating destination for both travelers and locals with our Five Thirty Lounge rooftop bar, 24/7 gym, Starbucks, and more! We are in the heart of Knoxville’s Downtown with neighbors like the historic Tennessee Theatre, the Bijou Theatre, Market Square, and Gay Street’s shops and restaurants.
Your Responsibilities
- Check the guest in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner.
- Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and effectively explain items such as common reports, guest folios, and emergency procedures.
- Speak with guests about Knoxville and East TN to give recommendations (activities, restaurants, etc.) and directions around downtown and surrounding areas.
- Must be able to effectively learn and operate the hotel computer system/property management system.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, hotel services, hours of operation, room locations, room rates, amenities, and hotel surroundings.
- Monitor room availability, selling strategies, discounts and frequent guest program benefits.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need
- Must be available to work one weekend day per week
- Verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Positive, outgoing, and friendly personality
- Punctuality, reliability, and adherence to a work schedule are required
- Weekend availability preferred
- Front desk (any industry) experience is preferred
