Job Description
The Bar Manager oversees the beverage program, inventory, ordering and while maintaining our service and sanitation standards.

General Requirements
- Adhere to all company standard operating procedures.
- Maintain company safety and sanitation standards.
- Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations.
- Comply with all local, state and federal liquor laws.
- Comply with all safety and local health department procedures as well as company and/or departmental policies/procedures.
- Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a manager’s attention.
- Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a manager immediately.
- Clean all spills and waste immediately.
- General venue maintenance.
- Appear in uniform for all shifts at scheduled time.
- Consistently maintain a professional, neat, well-groomed appearance, posture, and hygiene adhering to the company standards
Service Standards
- Provide a friendly and personal experience with a willingness to engage and interact with guests.
- Provide guests with venue information, directional information, and up to date menu.
- Greet all guests promptly, with a friendly and upbeat attitude.
- Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business.
- Acknowledge and greet all guests and offer to help in any capacity within your means.
- Inform management of any complaints, comments or incidents.
- Listen empathetically to guest complaints and be respectful at all times.

Job Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Training, and supervising bar staff, including bartenders and barbacks. This involves creating work schedules, assigning duties, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Beverage Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing the bar's inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies, such as alcoholic beverages, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other bar equipment.
- Beverage Menu Development: Create and update the bar menu, selecting and pricing beverages, and incorporating seasonal or specialty offerings.
- Customer Service: Ensuring high-quality customer service is provided by the bar staff. This includes resolving customer complaints, addressing customer inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Bar Operations: Overseeing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to alcohol service, safety, and health codes. This includes verifying the legal drinking age, monitoring intoxicated customers, and handling any issues related to alcohol service.
- Sales and Marketing: Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales, such as promotions, happy hours, special events, and marketing initiatives. This may involve collaborating with the marketing team or owner to create advertising materials.
- Financial Management: Monitoring bar expenses, tracking sales and revenue, and managing budgets. This includes analyzing financial data and implementing cost-saving measures when necessary.
- Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for bar staff to enhance their skills, knowledge of beverages, and customer service abilities.
- Safety and Security: Ensuring the bar environment is safe for both staff and customers. This involves implementing safety procedures, monitoring for potential hazards, and addressing any security concerns.
- Vendor Relations: Establishing and maintaining relationships with beverage suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing deliveries to ensure the availability of quality products.
- Event Planning: Organizing and overseeing special events, private parties, and promotions hosted by the bar.
- Maintaining Equipment: Regularly inspecting and maintaining bar equipment, such as draft systems (if applicable), refrigeration units, and glassware, to ensure proper functionality.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma preferred
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- 18 years of age
