HOLT Group is Hiring a Compensation Analyst Near San Antonio, TX

Job Summary:

The Compensation Analyst researches job requirements and evaluates job positions to ensure the company is competitive in the areas of salary and employee benefits. This position will implement and administer compensation programs including market pricing, updating/creating job descriptions, completing survey submissions and supporting the annual compensation processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred
  • Up to three years of related experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard compensation management concepts, practices, and procedures required
  • PC literacy required with a proficiency in HRIS systems preferred
  • General compensation knowledge required including compliance with the state and federal laws that apply to the plans
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel for analysis of data
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Sound decision-making and judgment skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to work independently
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and interact effectively with employees and management
  • Ability to identify complex problems and to review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Organizational ability and confident to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information and propriety information
  • Ability to adapt to change as a result of our growth strategy
  • Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
  • Consulting and influencing abilities

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, monitors, and influences effective changes to HOLT’s compensation practices, including compensation policy and guidelines, administration, communication, evaluation, salary analysis, job descriptions, and appropriate pay grade alignment
  • Conducts and participates in relevant compensation surveys and develops analytical compensation reporting
  • Reviews, recommends, and consistently updates job descriptions, pay structures, and position grade evaluations for all jobs to ensure competitive pay practices
  • Serves as a key member to the compensation team; makes recommendations as related to the compensation program, communication, and training
  • Researches, develops, and recommends effective and market competitive compensation practices for HOLT CAT through the effective utilization of salary data, surveys, best practices, and interface with HOLT managers
  • Participates in administration of annual performance management, incentive, or salary increase programs
  • Identifies, develops analytical models, and recommends improvements and efficiencies around compensation processes and programs
  • Advises management and employees on compensation programs, policies and philosophy
  • Updates and maintains appropriate job codes and pay structures in HRIS and HOLT CAT grading systems
  • Updates and maintains wage and salary surveys, salary matrix, salary job structure and benchmarking studies
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Travel:

  • Up to 5% travel required
