About Us:
Holistic Construction Inc., a leader in residential construction in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly professional Sales Estimator. Our projects include a variety of residential construction services such as roofing, flooring, siding, and remodeling, among others.

Role Overview:
The Sales Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects and managing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention. You will be expected to engage with potential customers, develop bids, assist with project management, and work both in-office and in-field to ensure project success. All Applicants must have at least 4 years of verifiable residential construction trade experience, a well rounded knowledge base of residential projects and at least 3 yrs of sales estimating experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting their needs with tailored proposals​.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications, understanding project requirements, and gathering information from various sources​.
• Manage administrative duties, including report preparation and maintaining deadlines and objectives​.
• Work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure estimates and project plans are precise and feasible​.
• Use advanced computer software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting​.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in estimating and project management, preferably within the residential construction industry.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills to handle complex calculations and cost assessments​.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates and projects to clients, sub-contractors and management.
• Knowledge of current building codes and construction trends​ with the willingness and ability to research.
• Ability to multitask effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously​.
• Computer skills with Apple, Bolster (Cost certified), Design programs, more.
• Ability to work as a team with the owner in a creative and high volume environment.
• Motivated self starter, critical thinker, holistic in your approach to estimating
• Wide range of construction knowledge including roofing, flooring, siding, painting, foundation, remodeling, decks, framing and more.

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in construction estimating or a similar role.
