POSITION TITLE: Inventory Control Specialist

DIV/DEPARTMENT NAME: SED

REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Warehouse

POSITION STATUS: Full-Time

WORK LOCATION: Dallas, Tx

WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: Hybrid ( 50% Onsite)

WORK STYLE REQUIREMENT: 75% Onsite / 25% Remote

FLSA STATUS (E or N): Non-Exempt (N)

TRAVEL REQUIRED: 5%

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: 0

SALARY RANGE: $16.11-22.16 per hour

This pay range is for the position's base salary only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the inventory accuracy of all Hitachi High-Tech America warehouses and 3PLs by supervising daily cycle counts, term inventories, research, inventory movements, adjustments, and reporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage cycle daily counts and reconcile inventory differences (E)
• Manage and conduct term inventories, including prep, counts, and reconciliation (E)
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure inventory accuracy (E)
• Assist in overseeing 3PLs on worldwide storage of Hitachi materials(E)
• Run various comparison reports of Hitachi parts in SAP to that of 3PLs (E)
• Assist in the process of selecting and up-start of new 3PLs (E)
• Obtain, compile, and present data on storage pricing and shipments of 3PLs using Spotfire (E)
• Research the history of shipments to ensure inventory accuracy (E)
• Maintain an ASRS (Trakstar) accuracy (E)
• Properly package materials (E) to ensure safe storage and shipping (E)
• Process internal warehouse movements (E)
• Process plant-to-plant movements (E)
• Produce required labels (manually and through SAP (E)
• Attend and conduct meetings (E)
• Order supplies (E)
• Prepare kits, parts, and materials for assembly operations (E)
• Obtain quotes and prepare purchase requisitions (E)
• Trains lower-level personnel as required (NE)
• Maintain records within SAP (E)
• Maintain a clean & safe work environment (E)
• Unpack incoming items, checking goods against purchase orders or invoices and maintains records of goods received (NE)
• Sort, label, and store incoming materials, parts and supplies in the appropriate bins or areas in accordance with company procedures and practices (NE)
• Pull materials, parts, and supplies to fill orders required by manufacturing, service, and sales (NE)
• Prepare finished products for shipment (NE)
• Trains lower-level personnel as required (NE)
• Perform additional responsibilities as required (E)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Associate Degree or equivalent years of experience. (E)
• Computer literate (SAP system, Converge, Trakstar, Spotfire, 3PL inventory systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). (E)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• One or more years of experience in receiving stockroom or related position in a high-tech manufacturing environment. (E)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on receiving and stores support. (E)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift heavy weights up to 50 lbs. (E)
• Ability to use hand tools (i.e., crowbar, mallet, hammer, etc.). (E)
