GENERAL DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE
History Maker Homes is in immediate need of a reliable Payroll Manager to join our Human Resources department. History Maker Homes has provided homes for families in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Metroplex (and now Houston) since 1949. The Payroll Manager must be dedicated and industrious, committed to accuracy in all transactions. The successful candidate will handle all payroll processing duties. Position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and will also work closely with the Controller and other department managers in providing payroll information needed for budgeting, management and reporting purposes.

Candidate must have a clear understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and interpretation of financial statements, as well as an understanding of tax accounting and reporting, and must be very organized, and detail oriented.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Business or Human Resource Management, from four year college or university; or minimum of five years’ experience in related field. Education, experience and training in Human Resources is desired.
