GENERAL MANAGER / MULTI-UNIT MANAGER - SHELL STATIONS - DFW AIRPORT

WE ARE SEEKING A MIXED USE GAS STATION PROFESSIONAL TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR TWO SHELL STATIONS LOCATED AT THE NORTH AND SOUTH GATE OF THE DFW AIRPORT.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE NO LESS THAN 5 YEARS SALARY EXEMPT GENERAL MANAGER OR MULTI-UNIT EXPERIENCE IN A HIGH VOLUME MIXED USE GAS STATION BRAND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR FULL P&L RESULTS AND HEAVILY EXPERIENCED IN HIGH VOLUME FUEL SALES. MUST BE TEXAS CLASS A/B OPERATOR TRAINED AND CERTIFIED.

THIS POSITION IS SALARY EXEMPT, ELIGIBLE FOR QUARTERLY BONUS AND FULL BENEFITS. THIS POSITION SHOULD EXPECT TO WORK FOR ALL PARTS OF THE BUSINESS INCLUDING OVERNIGHT SHIFTS WHEN NEEDED WITH TWO DAYS OFF PER WEEK AND ONE WEEKEND OFF PER MONTH TO PROMOTE QUALITY OF LIFE.

THIS POSITION WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR BOTH LOCATIONS WITH FULL P&L ACCOUNTABILITY AS WELL AS DEVELOPING THE MANAGEMENT TEAMS.

This position will oversee both the North and South Gate Shell locations at DFW Airport. This position is responsible for the financial results of the stores as well as the daily operations, staff development, brand protection, lease compliance and overall executing the company policies and procedures.

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is accountable for the overall store facility, fueling, maintenance and retail portion of the Convenience Stores owned by Blue Star Concessions Joint Venture - A joint venture with Star Concessions and the Dallas Cowboys. This position is responsible for the financial results of the stores as well as daily operations, staff development, brand protection, reporting, and compliance to company guidelines and critical policies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • EVERY JOB IS EVERYONE’S JOB – LEAD BY EXAMPLE EVERYDAY
  • Subscribe to and follow C-Store procedures for ordering, receiving, and storing merchandise.
  • Leverage the Back-Office system to ensure margin goals, 100% scan accuracy and pricing integrity. Must use and follow Work Flow daily.
  • Properly and accurately use Vendor and Repair logs. Proper checking in of all deliveries with visible evidence.
  • Adhere to published critical cycle count schedule for cigarettes, electronics, wine, beer, and tobacco. Execute additional counts as directed.
  • Ensure shift change counts are completed and verified by a manager on cigarettes and lottery.
  • Follow all airport lease and pricing requirements
  • Ensure all team members are following company policies and procedures through following company required scheduling to see all parts of the business each fiscal period
  • Ensure proper staffing by collaborating with HR and actively recruiting and promoting the referral incentive program.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring sales associates
  • Follow all training requirements for hourly sales associates and ensure they are meeting the standards prior to working alone
  • Write and maintain effective schedules to meet the needs of the business and post per critical policies guidelines
  • Work with the Director to maximize sales and control labor cost.
  • Communicate daily using Hot Schedules messages, staff journal, and daily logs.
  • Communicate regularly with corporate office and respond timely to requests
  • Maintain food quality and sanitation when preparing or dating food.
  • Inspect stores daily using Daily Walk to maintain optimum safety, cleanliness, sanitation and sales.
  • Ensure and coach GREET, SELL, THANK (give receipt). Establish and maintain a “selling culture”.
  • Check email daily and respond to requests
  • Complete and send invoices and daily sales paperwork to corporate office timely.
  • Review all reports sent weekly by corporate office staff and respond to issues cited
  • Follow all company cash policies, cash audits and cash accountability.
  • Execute Gas Pricing Comparisons with integrity on weekdays by 9am or as directed.
  • Promotes “Clean and Efficient” mentality
  • Full P&L accountability

PERSONAL APPEARANCE

This position requires a professional and crisp image. This includes no visible obscene tattoos or piercings, natural hair colors, professional hair styles that not distracting to the guest experience. Makeup must be modest and professional. Males are required to be clean shaven each day. Full beards are allowed, but must be kept trimmed to no longer than ¼ inch in length. Acrylic fingernails are not allowed. Nail polish and jewelry must be modest. (watch and ring) Uniforms must be clean and pressed prior to each shift. Males and females with shoulder-length hair must keep it tightly and smoothly restrained in a bun or pony tail.

PHYSICAL AND HOUR REQUIREMENTS

Retail Managers must be able to lift 30-50 pounds.

This position requires a 100% attendance expectation with the exception of approved time off requests.

Full availability is required for this position.

Ability to be productive all hours of the shift and work in a fast paced sometimes stressful environment.

Ability to stand in one place for several hours

Ability to walk, stand, reach above the shoulders and bend all hours of the shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
