Experience:
Previous guest service experience essential, minimum 3 years
Prior hotel is preferred
Brand experience is preferred
Strong guest service skills required
Must have a valid driver's license from the applicable state
Physical Requirements:
Long hours sometimes required.
Light work-Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Ability to stand for long hours at a time
Primary Objective of Position
To achieve the highest quality of cleanliness for the hotel by directing and coordinating the Housekeeping operation in accordance with the standards of the hotel and company.
Understands and implements the Mission, Vision and Core Values at all time.
Major Areas of Accountability
1. Provides a clean, well maintained hotel by supervising the Laundry and Housekeeping operations
Schedules team-members in accordance with forecasted occupancy; adjusts staffing as necessary for sudden changes in occupancy
Coordinates availability of rooms with Front Office/ Front Desk Manager/AGM/General Manager
Supervises the daily activities of the housekeeping team-members
Monitors the responses on guest comment cards; identifies problem areas and formulates solutions
Conducts continual inspections of guestrooms and public areas to determine hotel's overall level of cleanliness; performs follow up; makes rooms when required daily
Strives to reduce accidents within the department
Overseas inventory, requisitioning, disbursement, and cost control for all linens, cleaning supplies, guest room, restroom supplies, laundry supplies, machines, and equipment
Schedules and supervises all rotational and special cleaning programs as required
Secures keys in accordance with hotel's key management policy
Supervises "Lost and Found" Department
Assists with cleaning of the hotel’s public areas
Brings positive attitude among the team-members
