Mission Technologies a division of HII and their Cyber, Electronic, Warfare & Space team is looking to hire a Network Systems Engineer in collaboration with other members of our Prototype Development Support. Must possess a strong mission focus to do new development, rapid prototyping, and analytics support in a variety of environments, using leading edge technologies.
This is a collaborative effort supporting other members of our Prototype Development Support group. Our team works with the prototype development program and we are looking for someone with drive and ambition along with a strong work ethic who is passionate about new development and rapid prototyping.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Design and integrate various functions of network equipment into functional systems using international, U.S., and military standards.
• Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
• Evaluate new network technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.
• Integrate appropriate installation hardware such as equipment racks and necessary cabling.
• Document equipment layout, taking into account power, cooling, security and functionality.
• Perform end-to-end systems testing.

Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph for consideration

• Bachelor's degree in Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field plus 8 years of relevant experience
• Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience,
• Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience
• High school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
• Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
• Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
• Ensure all network systems are monitored and follow the latest governance and best practices.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams, stakeholders and vendors regarding network design and/or approaches for ensuring all network systems are up to date
• Experience in configuring and fault isolation of network devices using multiple routing and networking protocols (e.g. BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, Spanning Tree, VLANs, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, subnetting, NAT, ACLs, etc.)
• Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure. #LI-SG1

Preferred

• Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
• Firewall configuration and security policies involving objects, rules, NATs, etc.
• Utility program development using BASH scripts
• Familiarity with security mandates like STE/STN
• Data center management experience
