DUTIES OF FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST:

  • Provides the first line of security at the main entrance and telephone communications.
  • Greets visitors and prospective candidates; ensure they sign in and assist them as needed.
  • Directs visitors to where they need to go within the building.
  • Answers telephones, provides callers with needed information and directs the caller to the appropriate associate.
  • Addresses and acknowledges visitors leaving the building and ensures they sign out.
  • Takes messages for staff who are not available to answer calls.
  • Assists with other related clerical duties and data entry.

REQUIREMENTS OF FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Possess a cheerful disposition and communicate clearly on the phone and in person.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition when dealing with residents, visitors, family members, and other staff.
