The Sr. Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting; ensuring acceptable levels of internal control; ensuring hotel compliance to Highgate Hotels Standard Operating Procedures; and support/coach team members. For this role, the emphasis is placed on the management of income audit, depository bank reconciliations, recording of monthly expenses and support to resolve balance sheet variances.
Bachelors Degree or higher in Accounting required.
Hospitality and hotel specific experience preferred.
Blackline, Profit Sword and Oracle experience strongly preferred.
A/R experience strongly preferred.
Strong PC skills including Excel and Word.
Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Ability to work overtime as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
