Tempo/US-EcoLogic consists of four operating divisions: Tempo Mechanical, Tempo Service,
US-EcoLogic Single Family and US-EcoLogic Multi Family.
Summary: Tempo Inc./US-Ecologic Staff Accountant II is responsible for processing and overseeing weekly payroll. This position will also provide administrative and financial support services and ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of accounting transactions. In addition, work closely with our other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties. This position will report to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and process the weekly payroll and journal entry.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals and supporting schedules.
Prepare & submit 401(k) & ESOP weekly contribution files to TPA.
Assist in AR Aging reporting and collections.
Process Bad Debt Accruals
Process Monthly Bank Reconciliation
Assist in the monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Ad Hoc reporting
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Working knowledge of General Ledger software packages
Intermediate knowledge of US GAAP
Knowledge of State Payroll laws
Strong MS Office skills with Intermediate MS Excel skills (v-lookups, pivots, formulas)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
Experience working in a team environment.
Adaptable to changing environment/technology.
Demonstrated progression of responsibilities during career
Education and/or Experience
BA/BS in Accounting, required.
1-2 years of experience in Payroll.
3 years of experience in Accounting
Language Skills
Able to speak English.
