We are assisting our Irving client in hiring a Senior Accountant to support the Director of Accounting. They offer a growth potential and exposure to acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all accounting operations including Bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, and GL
- Assist with the month-end close process
- Review of A/P invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Depositing of A/R checks
- Writing and journal entries
- Reconciliations
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Assist units with daily accounting functions as needed
- Additional duties as necessary
- Bachelor’s in accounting or finance required
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting
- Software experience with QuickBooks or Sage Intacct preferred
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
