The Velocity Manager is a hybrid position of a traditional Office Administrator and Production Manager. The Velocity Manager must maintain a solid understanding of CRM platforms and computer systems, excellent project management skills, efficient time management, be detail-oriented and exhibit a strong understanding of customer service-related best practices. The Velocity Manager is responsible for and focused on improving the project contract to close speed while exceeding company margin expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a solid understanding of CRM platforms and computer systems, and manage each project ensuring completion.
  • Calculate project costs, request material quotes, and present prepared estimates by documenting costs and job scope information.
  • Manage inventory of necessary materials, recruit and develop relationships with subcontractors, and maintain regular communication between the Quality Control Specialist and subcontractors.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, order permits for jobs, schedule final permit inspections, send work orders to subcontractors, and maintain the job production board.
  • Assist vendors and subcontractors with onboarding, collect invoices, pull permits for jobs, and coordinate problem repairs.
  • Acquire and approve quotes from subcontractors, schedule crews, and manage project schedules efficiently.
  • Respond to on-call emergencies, and schedule material delivery, dumpster delivery, and crew for build start date.
  • Schedule trades, resolve problem repair issues, and lead pre-construction meetings for commercial and large residential builds.
  • Verify subcontractor pay requests, maintain project schedules, and ensure homeowner satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Verify labor and material bills, work closely with sales during build projects, and ensure job completion and customer satisfaction before final collection procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in production management, project management, and/or administration, with a focus on process optimization and performance enhancement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms and computer systems.
  • Knowledge of software such as Go High Level, and Acculynx is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices in production management.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting production data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary at $65,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
