HF Sinclair is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst in Dallas, TX who willConduct financial analysis, prepares market analyses and reporting assignments for assigned department with minimal supervision.

• Works closely across commercial, capital and financial organization to identify areas of opportunity for market analysis and pricing studies
• Builds and oversees maintenance of crude basin and product market supply/demand models
• Assists in preparation of market studies based on supply/demand analysis to help determine pricing expectations
• Monitors industry dynamics and trends, and helps anticipate how these trends will impact pricing outlook
• Prepares and presents macro news flow regularly to commercial crude, marketing and renewable fuels departments
• Assists in preparation of Executive Leadership materials for Board of Directors and Investor Relations interactions
• Assists others in the department as needed with financial analyses, reports, and systems
• Depending on assignment, may oversee and ensure any assigned system(s) (e.g., Commercial dashboard) are updated
• May assist on crude and/or marketing plan development and execution with others in the commercial department based on market studies
• Develops Point of Views (POVs) from market fundamentals ranging from regional to global across various commodities and industries to help support the company's short-, medium- and long-term strategies

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion

A minimum of five years of related on-the-job experience in oil refining. midstream or similar industry required.

Preferred Experience

Experience in petroleum market analytics and market fundamentals highly preferred.

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in economics, accounting or finance is required.

Basic understanding of energy or commodity markets. Familiarity with statistical analysis methods, forecasting techniques, and predictive modeling. Excellent proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Detail oriented with strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, Excel and PowerPoint in particular. Ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations. Self-starter with the ability to think critically and communicate effectively.

May be required to provide work direction to entry-level financial analysts.

Office based with travel required up to 10% by land and air with occasional visits into a refinery environment. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
