Position Summary:The Customer Service Representative position involves high customer contact over the phone and in person to accurately process customer orders via phone, email, or fax.
General Purpose of the Position:
The Customer Service Representative assists in Reception and Will Call. This position reports to Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Office Hours:
Office Hours: Sunday through Friday, from 8:00am – 5pm (Days off are Saturday and another day during the week)
Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities:
- Accurately take customer orders and input into order-taking system
- Maintain accounts in system and schedule deliveries in accordance with route schedules
- Greet and assist customers that come in to pick up orders in person
- Collect money and process credit card transactions for will-call orders
- Attend department and company meetings as scheduled
- Maintain up to date knowledge of product lines in order to assist customers in an accurate manner
- Communicate with teammates and customers in a consistently friendly and positive manner
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner
- Establish customer telephone contact in an effective and timely manner
- Responsible for accurately entering customer orders in a timely manner
- Ensure customer problems are handled in a timely manner and to the customer's satisfaction
- Communicate with Driver Supervisor and Routing on variations of deliveries
- Communicate with inventory control on product discrepancies
- Expedite customer needs for will-calls
- Communicate regularly with Sales Team regarding special orders, customer issues, etc.
- Assist Sales Team and customers with pick-ups, will-calls, special orders, etc.
- Assist Sales Team with entering orders, offering product pricing as requested, etc.
- Take new account leads to Sales Team Supervisor
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point)

- Clear and concise verbal, written and telephone communication skills
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
- Able to operate office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines, and 10-key calculator
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers (management, co-workers, vendors and customers)
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage functions)
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in both oral and written form
- Ability to plan and organize time and projects efficiently
- Ability to exchange and furnish information requiring detailed explanations and maintain active discussions with customers and other work groups
- Always maintain a professional working relationship with customers
- Maintain a professional working relationship with coworkers
- Ability to act in an ethical, honest, and professional manner always
- Maintain discretion with all company information regarding customers, pricing, products, procedures
Education & Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent; one or more years’ experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year related experience required
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
Pay Range:
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without accommodation.
- The employee will regularly work in varying temperatures zones - warehouse, office, dock environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally to reach file cabinets, boxes, etc.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Requires the ability to read written instructions, reports, and other documentation
- Required to talk and hear regularly
- Repeated use of hands and arms to answer phones
- Manual dexterity to use a computer to input orders
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
