Hearst is Hiring a Remote Product Marketing Director

The Opportunity:

HCHB is going through an exciting time of rapid market and product expansion, and to support that growth we are looking for a strong Product Marketer to lead the charge for our suite of products and services.

As Product Marketing Director at HCHB, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our products and services. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to ensure our products meet and exceed customer expectations. This includes market analysis, competitive positioning, product launches, and ongoing promotional efforts. You'll lead efforts across cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, client success, and marketing, to ensure the success of our products.

The Product Marketing Director will oversee the Marketing Funnel, which includes promoting and driving need for our product, conversion of that need to sales, and ultimately closing the loop with customers to promote them to a referral or brand ambassador stage.

The Product Marketing Director will orchestrate the communication strategy for the offering through a range of efforts, including messaging & positioning, go-to-market strategy, competitive analysis, sales enablement and creating ongoing demand and affinity for the product.

We are looking for a dynamic leader who is quick to collaborate; a consensus builder who can easily create relationships across the organization; a multi-faceted force that is self-motivated, creative, innovative, and analytical.

What You Will Do:

  • Marketing Lifecycle Management: Direct the entire marketing lifecycle of the product(s) from initial concept through development, launch, growth, and eventual retirement or replacement.
  • Marketing Strategy: Define the marketing strategy, including the target audience, market positioning, and competitive differentiation for our product(s). This involves conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities.
  • Market Development: Collaborate with product, sales and client success teams to define the buying persona of our target customers and their needs, identify market opportunities for the existing product and potential new product, and own the feedback loop with customers.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Collaborate with product to develop and execute go-to-market plans for product launches. This includes pricing strategies, distribution channels, marketing campaigns, and sales strategies.
  • Sales Enablement: Act as subject matter expert for how to market, plan and manage the content strategy for sales force enablement, working closely with sales teams and Account Executives to drive and iterate on highly effective sales presentations and collateral and partner closely with sales operations to ensure sales teams are equipped and ready to sell,
  • Marketing Campaigns: Work closely with marketing teams to create and execute campaigns to promote the product. This involves content creation, advertising, public relations, and other marketing activities.
  • Competitor Analysis: Keep a close eye on competitors and their products to identify opportunities and threats in the market. This information can help in positioning the product effectively.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for product marketing and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to achieve marketing goals.
  • Performance Analysis: Use data analytics and metrics to evaluate the performance of the product and marketing efforts. Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance data.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of demonstrated success and expertise in product marketing, preferably in a healthtech, biotech, or medical device company.
  • Expertise in launching products and successfully managing them through their lifecycle.
  • High comfort level with clinical and technical complexity and experience in upstream and downstream marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enthusiasm in content creation
  • Ability to collect and interpret market, competitive insights and outcome data to guide product positioning and marketing initiatives.
  • Drive and ambition, combined with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced tech environment while managing different stakeholders and thrive in an environment without a set playbook.
