Position Summary

Responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll assistance, and other accounting duties. In addition, this position provides back-up support for other members of the Accounting team.

Essential Functions

Compiles amounts owed by the Company to vendors, suppliers, or other organizations/individuals. Gathers purchase orders, charge slips, sales tickets etc., and prepares payments. Maintains all payment, receipt and other transaction records. Processes and verifies applications for credit and solicits payment/receipt on overdue accounts (i.e. collections). Compiles necessary information from financial institutions such as banks and credit organizations. Records all delinquent accounts, incomplete files, and credit risks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounting
• Minimum Associates degree in Accounting preferred or high school diploma
• Expertise using QuickBooks Enterprise is helpful
• Experience processing payroll in ADP is helpful
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Strong knowledge of basic bookkeeping, data entry
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Experience with analyzing and researching accounting issues with the Controller's guidance
• Excellent math and reasoning skills
• Team player
