. Your new role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead design, manage projects from start to finish, and interact with clients to manage and bring on new projects. The role will grow into a leadership position, with opportunity to take over creative ownership of design. The role and team is remote, with site visits as needed within Manhattan and Brooklyn, NY, around 1-2 times per week.
What you'll need to succeed
- 10 years experience
- PE license (or EIT, close to obtaining PE)
- Strong experience in Residential design
- Good familiarity with New York City and New York State mechanical codes and energy codes
- Good communication skills to coordinate mechanical design requirements with client and other team members
- Passive house design and HERS rating experience desirable but not essential
- Ability to draft in AutoCAD
- Good familiarity with plumbing, sprinkler, and electrical trades
- Project management experience
- Experience with Manual J load calculations
