We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join #TeamBergmann!
What You'll Be Doing: The Mechanical Design Engineer works with senior engineers to develop plans and specifications for projects consisting of HVAC, plumbing, and fire prevention designs.
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years' experience in HVAC, Air Filtration, and Fire Prevention design. Prior experience creating/designing for industrial, commercial, retail, government, and education facilities is strongly preferred.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- A willingness to learn and work closely with others
- Willing to travel as needed
- Some experience in Revit
- Some experience in AutoCAD
- A team player who is also able to work independently
Our Mechanical Engineers also:
- Complete equipment sizing and load calculations
- Selections, Design, and Drafting of ductwork and piping systems
- Develop drawings including plans, schedules, and details
- Develop REVIT models to facilitate design work
- Provide coaching and guidance for junior level staff
- Provide additional engineering support of construction activities such as submittal reviews and site inspections
- Travel and field work to document existing conditions and to develop designs will be required
- Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas, view obstacles as opportunities
All other duties as assigned. We won't ask you to do things way outside your scope, but we are one #TeamBergmann, so "Not my job" is not an option!
