SUMMARY Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contracts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts required. Broad knowledge and understanding of civil construction and methods including grading and earthwork, drainage, paving, etc. Advanced understanding of the project life cycle, including bid, proposal, and estimation process, and project management. Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts (e.g., Design Build, CMAR, Design-Bid-Build, etc.), plus ability to coordinate and supervise group work effort essential. Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to negotiate to drive revenue. Excellent MS Office skills are required, in addition to experience utilizing scheduling and bid/estimating software.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
