Harcon Precision Metals is Hiring a Project Manager Near San Diego, CA

Overview:

As a Project Manager (Installation), you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of shipboard installation projects within specified timelines and budgets. You will coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure that projects are delivered successfully while meeting quality standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and budget allocations.

Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for Navy clients and internal teams, maintaining regular communication to ensure alignment on project objectives and progress.

Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, to support project requirements and optimize productivity.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to uphold installation standards and address any deviations from specifications promptly.

Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and track budget utilization, making adjustments as necessary to maintain financial targets.

Schedule Adherence: Monitor project timelines closely, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.

Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.

Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to health and safety protocols on-site, promoting a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records, to facilitate transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Proven experience in project management, particularly in overseeing shipboard projects.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

· Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.

· Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards related to shipboard work and installation processes.

· Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure, with a focus on delivering results.

· Ability to gain clearance for secured areas in both private and naval shipyards as well as shipboard areas.
