Job Description
AECOM is searching for an experienced Project Manager to join us in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will be the main contact for water-related projects with clients such as NAVFAC SW, City of San Diego, MWD, and other large energy clients. You'll ensure that the work we promised is done right as a Project Manager and help our California team grow by being a leader and mentor.
This role also provides opportunities for advancement in AECOM. As you show what you can do, you'll become more visible in our global organization.
To excel, we need someone who understands the clients and what is needed for success. Technical skills include AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, Microstation, and other software used by the Design group. Having good technical and project presentation skills will ensure our projects are done on time and within budget. This role is more than just regular project management; it includes bigger responsibilities with confidence and expertise. Join us today
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Carries out tasks assigned by the Department Manager.
  • Manages personal time allotted to various tasks to meet obligations of one or more projects, including budget quality and schedule.
  • Uses engineering judgment to perform duties and knows when to ask questions, seek assistance or perform independent research.
  • Is sensitive to, and responsible for, project budget, schedule, and quality, and reports concerns promptly to the Department Manager.
  • Effectively interacts with peers, clients, and sub-consultants through written and oral communication.
  • Performs engineering calculations, clearly documenting methodology used and checks his/her work.
  • Prepares/Reviews Design plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Researches and writes reports relating to project assignments.
  • Makes oral presentations at client or AECOM meetings.
  • Ability to oversee the work of project engineers and technicians.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction.
  • Demonstrate team leadership. Ability to lead projects.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and 2 years of relevant industry experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • California Professional Civil Engineers license.
Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $82,000.00 - $134,459.41.
