- Critical thinking to troubleshoot and solve technical issues including 3-D data analysis issues
- Experience with database management best practices
- Solid experience in application of QA/QC processes and programs
- Initiative to improve workflows
- Communication and collaboration skills to develop junior staff skills and provide mentorship
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to effectively evaluate and summarize project findings
- Ability to monitor/adjust effort to meet task goals within budget
- Trustworthy, team oriented, self-motivated, creative problem solver and proactive client manager
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science or ABET accredited equivalent degree
- 5 years of progressive experience and/or related education in water resources
- Leadership experience including project scoping, planning, budgeting, delegation, and staff management
- Experience working with the FEMA Risk Map program.
- Demonstrated experience with latest version of ESRI GIS software such as ArcMap 10.8 and ArcGIS Pro 2.9 or higher.
