The Boston office of Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP is looking for a Paralegal to join our team. We’re a collection of smart, dedicated, and creative lawyers and staff working on some of the most high quality, cutting edge pharmaceutical litigation in the country. For example, we’re headed to trial against HIV drug manufacturers for illegally thwarting competition for major HIV treatments and we’ll soon be in trial against the makers of brand and generic Zetia, a cholesterol drug, on our claims that they unlawfully delayed generic competition. In the last two years. We received final approval for one and then another of the largest settlements in direct purchaser pharmaceutical antitrust cases ever, both resolved mere weeks before trial. We don’t always win but we don’t give up.
We hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards, take pride in originating, aggressively working, and trying cases, and genuinely like each other. Some of us have never (by choice!) had another legal field job anywhere else.

Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
Our office investigates and originates interesting and important cases, typically serves as lead or co-lead class counsel, and works collaboratively in the office and with co-counsel to push cases aggressively through discovery, briefing, and trial. We also find real meaning in the work we do and in doing it well.
Litigation Paralegals are responsible for helping us from the inception of a case to the final distribution of funds to class members. Throughout a case, you’ll prepare pleadings and other filings and correspondence, cite-check, use the Blue Book, perform filing services, calendar deadlines and help keep the team on track, conduct document searches, prepare materials for production, organize and coordinate document reviews, help with legal research, prepare materials for oral arguments, work as part of trial teams in the lead-up to and at trial, assist in settlement and post-settlement allocation and distribution work, and in general be a core part of the case team. The expectation is that paralegal/legal support duties comprise the majority of time and responsibilities, but you may be asked to help with administrative functions from time to time to help the team.
