Our client is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation. They approach litigation as a unified team, integrating their efforts with those of their clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Their goal is always to deliver optimal results at the best possible value. Our client has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal in their New York office.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.

• Assist with trial prep and logistics, administrative/case management, client reporting, and client communication.

• Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.

• Draft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings.

• Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.

• Compose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.

• Contemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.

 Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ general litigation experience is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Proficient interpersonal skills including effective communication with both attorneys and other paralegals to accomplish goals.

• The ability to both work both independently and as part of a larger team.

• Effective problem solving capabilities.

• Preference to mid-level candidates with experience using legal systems such as Westlaw, File & Serve Xpress, PACER.
