We're seeking an innovative and exceptional Director of Human Resources to join our tight-knit team, spearhead our people-centric initiatives and foster a culture of excellence within our organization.
Role Highlights:
Lead and innovate in all aspects of HR strategy, from onboarding to employee engagement and beyond.
Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure alignment between HR initiatives and organizational goals.
Foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes employee well-being and professional growth.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the unique needs of our healthcare environment.
Drive performance management processes that empower employees to excel and grow in their roles.
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Provide strategic guidance on talent development and organizational design.
Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating and implementing potential solutions; mentoring and counseling managers and employees.
The Director of Human Resources reports directly to our General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer.
All work performed at our Crown Point, IN Corporate Headquarters.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience in HR leadership with a strong understanding of industry specific challenges and dynamics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to supporting employees in a healthcare setting.
Ability to navigate complex HR issues with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
A strategic thinker who can align HR initiatives with organizational goals and drive positive change.
Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and advising management on needed actions; with a commitment to upholding compliance standards and ensuring adherence to internal policies/procedures.
Meticulous attention to detail; ability to multitask in a busy environment; while being a hands-on manager
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Organization Development preferred. Field-related Master’s degree preferred
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
  • SHRM-SCP Certification required (PHR considered).
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations preferred.
  • Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations that practice effective Human Resources management.
  • Broad knowledge and specialized experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; including drafting and amending of Employment Agreements
  • Exceptional Microsoft Word/Teams/Outlook (basic Excel) skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills with the ability to relate to and influence individuals at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resource staff members.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the Executive Team (C-suite)
  • Superior knowledge of various federal, state, and local employment laws and practices
  • Strong experience with HRIS systems, familiarity with UKG Ready a bonus
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to complete and manage a variety of tasks/projects; particularly when faced with competing demands and priorities
  • Able to pass pre-employment background check, including motor vehicle record review and drug screening. Covid-19 and influenza vaccinations required
  • Available evenings and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation
