Grimco, Inc. is Hiring a Sales Representative Near Kennesaw, GA

Job Summary

We are a growing company, currently seeking dedicated, adaptable individuals to join Grimco. Grimco is a national wholesale sign supply manufacturer and distributor that has been around for over 145 years with 50 locations in the United States, 8 in Canada, and recent expansion into the United Kingdom.

At Grimco, we would be nothing without the success of our superior sales team. The Sales Representative will have a primary focus of serving customers and growing our existing accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building rapport, closing deals, and is aware of the constant changing needs within the wholesale distribution industry.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Proactively call existing customers to research trends/needs, relationship management, follow- up, etc. (approximately 30 calls per day).
  • Answer inquiries from customers concerning products, their uses, distribution, and provide solutions/recommendations.
  • Emphasize product features, based on analyses of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
  • Enter orders, customer information, and purchasing trends into our various computer systems (Order Power, CRM database, Reporting Services, Website, etc.).
  • Achieve weekly, quarterly, monthly, and annual volume and margin sales and GP goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
  • Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Grimco’s selling and basic product lines (as well as common industry products and brands).
  • Drive personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available) to outside sales appointments – must have current registration and valid license.
  • Travel for sales visits, special events, and training (local/regional travel 5-25% of time).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Familiarity with AS400 data management system and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Advanced/fluent skill levels of Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French language are always a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics
  • Knowledge of the Sales Cycle.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Ability to take direction and make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas in order to respond to customers’ needs, wants, and concerns.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and commitment to customers.
  • Competency in MS Office Suite, internet navigation, and order entry experience.

Training & Development Sales Orientation - Chicago, IL

  • Opportunity to attend Grimco’s Training & Development Sales Orientation in Chicago, IL.
  • Focused training time consisting of a mix of one-on-one training, virtual training, and shadowing.
  • Training focus on Grimco’s products, computer systems, phones/customers, sales/service, purchasing, logistics, web store, marketing, safety, accounting, human resources, and reports.
  • Split between break-out sessions and hands-on learning environment.
  • Rotation within departments for a diverse look at how employee approaches tasks and achieves goals.
  • Full-time salary includes training period. Travel accommodations and expenses provided per
  • Grimco National Travel Policy. Training location determined by corporate/regional training team schedule.
