Position Summary 

The Clinical Services Director is responsible for the daily management of an article 31 Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services Program, formally known as a Mental Health clinic or community based mental health satellites and services. This individual will be part of the program leadership team, carry a small caseload, supervise staff, and direct interactions with complex patients, care givers and their families. They are responsible for supporting productivity and KPI benchmarks as well as grants management and works in conjunction with the Director of Behavioral Health Services

Responsibilities

· Knowledge of and commitment to NYS and Federal applicable regulations and best practices. In collaboration with senior clinic leadership, the clinic as audit ready for all regulatory bodies; inclusive of review of corrective action plans for monthly internal audits.

· Commitment to creating a culture of ethical, patient centered services that is engrained in all decision making.

· Commitment to the agency’s mission and vision, code of conduct, ethics, and organization policies.

· Responsible for the daily management of the program to include:

· Ensuring continuity of care for all patients

· Ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion of all individuals seeking /referred for services in a manner that is non stigmatizing, trauma informed, and patient centered.

· Management of staff scheduling, coverage, and clinical support. Provide supervision to clinical staff, both individual and group, with supervision notes

· Maintain and manage after-hours coverage.

· Demonstrates excellent management skills to include.

· Effective communication skills,

· Self-motivation

· Ability to manage changing priorities.

· Work effectively with all levels of staff internally and externally.

· Demonstrates ability to provide clinically appropriate intervention for multiple populations to include chronic mental health chronic illness, dually diagnosed, disabilities and trauma.

· Demonstrates skill and experience in treating individuals ages 3 to 100

· Provide staff professional development to include brief techniques, such as crisis intervention and solution-focused approaches as well as training as part of both corrective action and staff meetings.

· Represents and actively participates in meetings to include, Incident Review, compliance, interdisciplinary case conferencing, and leadership team.

· Ability to satisfactorily perform other duties upon request by the Director of Behavioral Health Services.

· Work with Office Manager to oversee and manage intakes and discharges.

· Participate in after hour phone coverage pool. [Stipend provided]

Qualifications

· Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LMSW, LMHC plus four (4) years of clinical experience, 2 years supervisor experience preferred.

· Experience in treating co-occurring.

· Good communication skills, self-starter with the ability to work independently, able to prioritize, and to interact with all levels of staff, both internally and externally.

· Familiarity with a range of therapeutic interventions: play therapy, family therapy, trauma informed care, CBT, DBT, ACT and psychodynamic approaches to treatment.

· Knowledge of Federal, State, and local documentation requirements to include but not limited to collaborative documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, assessments/screenings.

· Knowledge and/or experience in NYC social, legal, correctional service systems and programs.

· SIFI Field Instructor Certified with Field Supervisory experience with Social Work and/or LMHC interns a plus.
