Store Manager (Grocery)

*$2,000 sign on bonus*

Primary Function:

B. Green & Co, Inc. Is looking for a Store Manager!!! This person will be a "bench" manager and may work in any of our Food Depot/Green Valley Marketplace locations. This person will support management and duties of store operations to meet financial and sales goals. You will ensure that all company policies are adhered to by all store associates. You will be responsible for the training, development, and hiring of associates in your dedicated department. The Store Manager will also be expected to maintain approachable and friendly customer relations by offering responsive customer service. You will interact with team members at all levels in the organization. You will promote a strong culture. This person will maintain solid communications with the management team, all associates in the store and throughout the organization.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Assists in the planning of store performance to comply with company guidelines.
• Manages department performance to achieve budget objectives and maintain an elevated level of customer acceptance.
• Assists in managing or evaluation of merchandising and pricing programs within established guidelines.
• Achieves or exceeds projected labor and productivity goals for departments.
• Responsible for all perishable department expenses
• Manage and control shrink throughout perishable departments.
• Maintain a clean and food-safe facility.
• Responsible for assisting in managing general liability and workers compensation costs.

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years of grocery store/supermarket management experience as the leader of entire store operations.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently and 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Must be able to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.

Salary: $70,000 a year- based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Supermarket Management: 4 years (Required)
• Leadership: 4 years (Preferred)
