Green Valley Marketplace is searching for a baker who specializes in baking rolls, bread, cakes, sweets, etc. Decorating is a plus and might be a need for the future.

As the Baker, you will help support the making of the highest quality baked breads and sweets, clean workstations and equipment, make sure the kitchen is stocked, and perform other duties as needed.

To be a successful baker, you should be efficient, friendly, focused on food quality, and customer satisfaction, be decisive, attentive, and have a strong understanding of baking techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bake breads, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets; assists in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment.
• Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within the work area.
• Handles food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner. Relays relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors.
• Checks to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of baking experience
• An eye for detail and accuracy and be a team player
• Professional appearance and attitude. Positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive organizational skills
• Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability
• Stand, walk, bend, use hands, appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $17-$19 per hour- Based on experience
