Great Northern Engineering, LLC is Hiring a Remote Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will assist the Project Manager with planning and directing program activities and will interface with clients for Great Northern Engineering projects. This position will report to the Project Manager.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.)
  • Serve as an analyst who has skillfully adapted the application of a wide range of qualitative methods to improve management processes.
  • Use forecasting and cost estimating techniques to perform cost/benefit analysis of existing or proposed fuel storage, distribution systems, and preventive maintenance throughout the world.
  • Prepare communications to include but not limited to meeting minutes, invoices to Client, talking papers, fact sheets, memoranda, economic analyses, briefings, and informal presentations.
  • Assist with program management and strategic direction for the planning, designing for assigned programs and/or projects assigned.
  • Assist managers to develop schedules for technical evaluation standards to evaluate contractor proposals.
  • Serve on a technical evaluation team evaluating contractor proposals for adequacy, completeness, and compliance with terms and conditions of the solicitation.
  • Participate in post-award oversight to ensure contractor is meeting requirements of Performance Work Statements.
  • Participate in contractual review of requested task orders.
  • Plan and book global site visit travel to include but not limited to, transportation, lodging, and DoD base access for project teams in a cost effective and timely manner.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
To qualify for the Administrative Assistant, applicant’s resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: Five years or more of specialized experience that equips applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
  • Provides assistant to the project management to ensure efficient and effective planning, direction, and timely execution of numerous large and complex efforts.
  • Assists in developing standard operating procedures and reports. Presents informational briefings and implements new systems, policies, guidance, and procedures of logistic functional requirements.
  • Assists in coordinating the work efforts of a large complex logistics focused organization through subordinates and teams.
  • Possesses general knowledge of interpreting contractual requirements pertaining to commercial and/or military fuel facilities and service operations and maintenance including environmental requirements.
  • General knowledge of DoD and DLA Energy systems related to storage and distribution of petroleum products.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an administrative assistant.
Office Location and Travel:
This position is located at the KEW WHQ office in Wasilla, Alaska. For the right candidate a hybrid or remote option will be considered.
Travel may be required with frequency and duration to be determined.
