Responsibilities include keeping records updated, preparing reports and reconciling statements. You will run accounting software programs to process transactions, like accounts payable and receivable. A successful account assistant should be familiar with all accounting procedures. Ultimately, ensure that the company’s accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Great Lakes Landscape Design has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Assistant to join our team!

Qualifications for our Accounting Assistant:

• Worked in the field of accounting for at least 3 years. (required).
• Experience with QuickBooks (required).
• A working Knowledge of accounts payable, with an understanding of expenses and cost of goods sold.
• High performer, able to multitask, and to work in a demanding environment while maintaining accurate records.
• Initiative-taker who can work without constant supervision.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong diligence and a prominent level of accuracy.

The day to day of our Accounting Assistant:

• Processing accounts payable.
• Reconciling vendor, and credit card accounts.
• Maintaining a system of organization and record keeping.
• General data entry and upkeep of our databases, as needed.
• Filing, digital scanning and purging of files, as needed.
• Processing weekly payroll
• Weekly collections
• Posting daily Cash receipts
• Other duties as assigned.
