Gordon Brothers is Hiring a HRIS, Lead Associate Near Boston, MA

Description The HRIS, Lead Associate works collaboratively with the HR, Finance and/or IT teams to identify, implement, and maintain solutions that support all HR business processes including core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, Recruitment, Absence, and related integrations. As lead technical expert, this role ensures efficiency, data integrity and comprehensive reporting across all modules. The HRIS, Lead Associate is the primary support for day-to-day management of Workday and any new modules (e.g., learning, succession). This role will help drive business results by aligning our HRIS capability in support of the company’s business objectives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Product Management Evaluate the system continuously and identify technological and process improvements to create efficiencies, improve workflow given ongoing growth and transformation, and enhance the user experience for all users Set the direction for future use of the system in alignment with business objectives and IT roadmap, bring key stakeholders along on the journey System Maintenance Act at the primary Security Administrator to manage system access rights, privileges Partner with key stakeholders to configure and refine annual processes (e.g., performance reviews, goal setting, salary, and bonus planning, benefit open enrollment, absence plans) year over year Create and/or edit business processes, notifications, reports, benefit plans, bonus plans, job profiles, integrations, earnings codes, one-time payment plans, etc. as needed directly and/or with support from Workday or outside providers. Testing in sandbox environment first and then moving to production Maintain and troubleshoot issues with integrations and keep the key stakeholders informed Initiate cases with Workday and/or our support provider, when additional technical support and/or resources are needed including explaining the requirements, testing and approval for moves into the production environment. Manage technical issues and liaise with external technical experts (e.g., Workday support, Kognitiv) as needed Create and/or modify advanced reports and dashboards to meet business needs including use of calculated fields and other more complex elements. Create documentation along the way for key changes Audit the data on a regular basis to maintain the integrity of the data Maintain infrastructure tied to organizational changes including re-organization, acquisitions, cost center and location hierarchies, etc. Build out set-up for all new jurisdictions including relevant absence plans, benefit plans, etc. Monitor, inform and discuss release updates with the HR team to evaluate including: Product upgrades/enhancements Review potential impact of changes to existing set-up Decide which to accept or opt in on or postpone Conduct testing and develop workarounds to any potential "breaks” etc. Plan, design, configure, and document new processes and flow as needed Communicate impact to employees, if applicable Review error reports and troubleshoot findings Lead the implementation of any new or purchased modules or significant features of Workday/related to Workday (e.g., integrations) End-User Support Serve as technical and operational point of contact for all HR/Finance users/administrators Serve as the Learning Coordinator to review and approve training for new or existing administrators Provide guidance and informal training to new administrators at a high level. Create job aids and user instructions for HR users and employee population as needed for significant changes only Communicate project/case status with administrative users frequently and provide a timely resolution EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject matter Six or more years of experience as a Workday HCM administrator with broad experience across all modules Workday HCM certification preferred Advanced Workday training in HCM, reporting, business process, compensation, and security Project management experience specific to software implementation, proven success meeting deadlines and increasing user adoption Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills Attends training, product updates and/or networking events to stay current on the product and future direction KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Exceptional attention to detail resulting in work with a high level of accuracy Driven to ensure data quality, a clear understanding of business processes Ability to handle highly confidential information and treat employee data with the highest discretion Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects successfully, accurately, and timely Self-motivated with a bias for action. Ability to organize, multi-task, and problem solve while managing competing priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective relationship management skills and ability to collaborate with all levels Demonstrated application of creativity required to deliver successful business solutions Experience working in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands Work is performed in an office environment. Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching and prolonged periods of sitting. Infrequent light physical effort required.
