Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and wants to contribute to the success of our organization.
Duties:
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting employee orientations and exit interviews
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigating and resolving employee complaints or conflicts
- Support HR projects, such as implementing new HR policies or programs
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist with HR sourcing activities, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial screenings
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling data entry tasks
- Coordinate employee benefits programs, such as FMLA leave or other medical leave requests
Requirements:
- Expirience with Union Grievances and Governemnt Contracts
- Workers Compensation expirience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Proven experience in a similar role as an HR Specialist or HR Assistant
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with employees at all levels
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
