Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary

This position serves as an assistant to the Facilities Manager. Carrying out day-to-day facility maintenance and repairs around the Club. Requires the ability to organize and prioritize and should be personable, responsible, and willing to work in a team environment.

Job Tasks (including but not limited to)

• Follows all rules and policies of the Club.
• Participates in meetings with staff to disseminate information, discuss problems and solutions, etc.
• Completes Work Order Requests as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• A strong focus on the day-to-day upkeep of the overall aesthetic and appearance of the facilities (painting, cleaning vents and equipment, replacing lights, etc.)
• Assists in maintaining all equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedules.
• Uses Club Paint Code to complete repair and maintenance items.
• Uses Club Lighting Schedule to complete related repairs and maintenance.
• Completes all paperwork on a daily basis and files it digitally when possible.
• Serves as an advisor to painting and light bulb inventory.
• Follow all club, equipment, and material safety standards at all times.
• Works in an independent nature.
• Displays a sense of urgency with all tasks, reports back to Facilities Manager in a timely manner of the project status and completion.
• Participates as an active member of the staff in improving the service and operation of the Club.
• Keeps the workshop area safe, clean, and well lit.
• Possesses knowledge of role during emergency situations and is aware of fire and life procedures.
• This position may require work to be completed on nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understands and complies with all policies set forth in the Club Employee Guide and Handbook.
• Completes other special projects and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 2 years facility maintenance or repair experience, preferred.
• A basic knowledge of the following trades is required: H.V.A.C., plumbing, electrical, and construction.
• H.V.A.C. Experience preferred.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a private club environment.
• Frequent contact with members, guests, employees, and outside vendors, etc.
• Occasional member and guest contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
