Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary

This position serves as an assistant to the Facilities Manager. Carrying out day-to-day facility maintenance and repairs around the Club. Requires the ability to organize and prioritize and should be personable, responsible, and willing to work in a team environment.

Job Tasks (including but not limited to)

1. Follows all rules and policies of the Club.
2. Participates in meetings with staff to disseminate information, discuss problems and solutions, etc.
3. Completes Work Order Requests as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
4. A strong focus on the day-to-day upkeep of the overall aesthetic and appearance of the facilities (painting, cleaning vents and equipment, replacing lights, etc.)
5. Assists in maintaining all equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedules.
6. Uses Club Paint Code to complete repair and maintenance items.
7. Uses Club Lighting Schedule to complete related repairs and maintenance.
8. Completes all paperwork on a daily basis and files it digitally when possible.
9. Serves as an advisor to painting and light bulb inventory.
10. Follow all club, equipment, and material safety standards at all times.
11. Works in an independent nature.
12. Displays a sense of urgency with all tasks, reports back to Facilities Manager in a timely manner of the project status and completion.
13. Participates as an active member of the staff in improving the service and operation of the Club.
14. Keeps the workshop area safe, clean, and well lit.
15. Possesses knowledge of role during emergency situations and is aware of fire and life procedures.
16. This position may require work to be completed on nights, weekends, and holidays.
17. Understands and complies with all policies set forth in the Club Employee Guide and Handbook.
18. Completes other special projects and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 2 years facility maintenance or repair experience, preferred.
• A basic knowledge of the following trades is required: H.V.A.C., plumbing, electrical, and construction.
• H.V.A.C. Experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional sitting

Environmental/Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a private club environment.
• Frequent contact with members, guests, employees, and outside vendors, etc.
• Occasional member and guest contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
