Position Title: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (Nurse)
Focus: Long Term Care
Reports To: Director of Nursing (DON)
Purpose
Reporting to the DON, the Nurse is accountable to provide person-centered care for residents given by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). Primary functions include assessment and planning of resident care needs; delivering skilled procedures according to the State of Idaho Board of Nursing; communicating knowledge to residents, family members, care team, and providers; administering, authorizing, reporting/ordering and monitoring medication and outcomes; delegating effectively to care staff; and documenting utilizing standard clinical documentation guides.
The Nurse is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the mission of Caring for those who cared for us and subsequent values, to ensure resident safety, demonstrate team leadership, and uphold customer service excellence.
General Information
You will receive on-the-job training, as well as have support from the small and flexible Administrative Team. You will be part of joining a nursing team with 2-3 other nurses in two small assisted living facilities in home-like residential settings, providing care to up to 19 residents total. You’ll help work with the remaining caregiving team made up of caregivers, CNAs, and medication technicians. This family-owner/operator company has established an esteemed reputation over the last 15 years and welcomes a member who can work with the team, as well as independently. We also value ownership, autonomy and provide flexibility. There will be a shared on-call schedule for mostly calls for PRN medications, change of condition instructions, and assessments after incidents or accidents. When not on call, there will be some agreed-upon scheduled time slots, but the requirements are mostly division of labor among the nursing team with tasks that must be accomplished within a time frame, allowing you to choose much of your schedule. These will include some weekly, quarterly, and annual tasks, as well as working with the resident’s schedule of care coordinating with their family, POAs, and outside services.
