Summary: Responsible for the overall planning and directing of functional activities of the restaurant including marketing, sales, accounting and general administration by performing the following duties.
Reports to: Director of Operations
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Prepares the annual budget and plans for the restaurant including sales goals, pro t projections, capital requirements and sta requirements.
• Generate a pro t through controlling food, labor and operating costs and driving sales.
• Reviews the general business climate for the restaurant and adjusts sta and inventories as needed.
• Accurately prepare payroll, orders and complete inventory.
• Schedules employees based on business needs and budget
• Hires, terminates, cultivates, and disciplines employees
• Ensures nancial reporting is consistent with restaurant standards and produced monthly.
• Promotes and directs restaurant marketing programs.
• Maintains the facilities of the restaurant to produce high quality food at the lowest possible cost.
• Ensures customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality food, courteous employees and
quick response to needs.
• Reports status information to the management monthly.
• Contracts for and follows up general maintenance and repair to the facility.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Develops and maintains a program for sound employee relations with sta at all levels of the organization.

Our Story: Goddess and the Baker is a spin off concept of the ultra successful Goddess and the Grocer restaurants, which opened its first store in 2004. From the very start, the colorful Bucktown storefront was bustling with high energy and bold flavors. Customers loved this new world grab-and-go convenience coupled with a colorful, global menu. In 2015, the idea to open a cafe-inspired spin-off was born out of our love for good coffee, good baked goods, and great food. We set out to create a warm and inviting meeting place where guests of all ages and backgrounds could enjoy a good coffee, sa...ndwich (or salad), and dessert then leave with a smile on their face. The first Goddess and the Baker was opened in the spring of 2015 in the hip Wabash Corridor near Millennium park. Just like our sister stores, Goddess and the Baker was a hit, and we have been growing ever since. Who We Are: Goddess and the Baker is a fast-casual, fun cafe with two locations in the heart of the Chicago Loop and two more locations planned to open in the Fall of 2018. We serve breakfast, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and, of course the best coffee around all day, every day. Our food is seriously good, our coffee is creative and delicious, and our culture is fun with a welcoming vibe. We are passionate about great food and service.
