GMS is currently hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to work at an Underground salt mine near Detroit, MI. While no mining experience is required to gain consideration for these positions, the ideal candidates will have previous experience working as a laborer or running heavy equipment. This position will require working underground everyday. This position will begin as a Night shift position.

Successful candidates will maintain 50-60 hours each week, working 10-hour shifts. This position requires that you work alternating Saturdays. Candidates will need to be able to work Night Shift on a regular basis. All positions start on steady night shift but will offer eligibility to move to day shift in the future. Necessary mine-specific training will be provided to successful hires. All candidates must be local prior to beginning this position.
