- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Investigate and bring to resolution, employee issues, grievances, and complaints
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
- Manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding process
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
- Management of employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Manage the plant safety processes to include OSHA compliance
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the Company
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related area; relevant work experience may be substituted
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive
- People oriented and results driven
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS) preferably ADP WFN
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
- Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
- Good understanding of OSHA/ANSI expectations/regulations specifically in the area of CFR 1910, successful completion of OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour training a plus
