Global Skyware is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Smithfield, NC

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all personnel activities including but not limited to employee relations & development, recruitment strategies, benefits management, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, labor compliance, and safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Investigate and bring to resolution, employee issues, grievances, and complaints 
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Management of employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Manage the plant safety processes to include OSHA compliance

REQUIRED/DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related area; relevant work experience may be substituted 
  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS) preferably ADP WFN
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
  • Good understanding of OSHA/ANSI expectations/regulations specifically in the area of CFR 1910, successful completion of OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour training a plus
