GLO Resources is Hiring a Benefits Manager Near Baton Rouge, LA

Job Title: Account Manager (Benefits & Insurance), Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Pay Rate: $45k - $55k annually (Depending on Experience)

Job Description:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing assigned client accounts within the Health Benefits field. This role involves assisting clients with inquiries on medical, dental, vision, and ancillary products, as well as resolving employee claim issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned client accounts, addressing inquiries on benefits and assisting with claim issues.
  • Enroll companies and their staff in selected carrier plans, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate documentation.
  • Learn and master our Agency Software, providing guidance and training to clients and company staff.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, answer inquiries, and educate them on benefits and plan options.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, demonstrating patience and empathy when dealing with clients and employees of varying levels.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak periods with heavy deadlines.
  • Keep office space clean and assist in maintaining cleanliness in all common areas.
  • Take ownership of mistakes and promptly notify the supervisor.
  • Adhere to professional business attire standards and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Assist teammates when needed and perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
  • Other duties may be assigned by upper management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in account management and providing excellent customer service.
  • Benefits or Human Resources experience is required.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Office 360, and SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and math skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
